Pasay Tour

When I feel like taking a day off from work, I visit the places that I always been, but this time I sit, breath some air, meditate, and take pictures that I don’t normally do when I’m with people.
When I’m alone, I can stay for so long, staring at the carousel, and manually adjust my camera so I can have a picture that has a good outcome, and not just point and shoot like what I normally do.
I am an introvert who likes people watching, so I went to coffee shops, amusement park and Manila Bay area. I also found a place in Mall of Asia where it’s so quiet, has fresh air and you can just stare at the sky and let your hair blown by the wind. So that’s what I normally do when I’m on leave. I just walk around, just look around and be happy being alone.

The land down under

I’m reminiscing the days when I set foot in the land from down under. Living in the Philippines, everything seems extraordinary for me when you are there. The cleanliness, cool weather, laid back vibe and very friendly people, I can’t blame the immigration or the visa requirements for being strict when a girl from a 3rd world country decides to visit this place. You can’t help but think if do you really want to be back to your own place? The first answer is “Hell no!”, but you know, whatever my hang ups with my country, it’s my country, a place I can call my own, even though it sucks, it still a beautiful place and I think I can never leave this place permanently.

Revisit Manila

Revisit Manila

One cloudy morning, I decided to go to Intramuros to wander and get lost in this historic and beautiful city.

If you are like me who suck in directions, you can take the pedicab tour they offer. It cost 150 per 30 mins. My tour guide slash pedicab driver toured me to the must see places. From Manila Cathedral to Baluarte San Diego, I have several stops, take pictures and take a deep breath and be amazed to the cozy and historical places.
I am jealous with the students who study inside the schools in Intramuros. If I am student in Mapua or PLM, I will go to Casa Manila every recess, to sit down, make sketches and drink coffee at the nearby cafe. At lunch break, I will just take maybe 15 minutes to eat then go to Baluarte De San Francisco to breath some fresh air, sit down and just look at the Makati skyline. If I tired being a student, I can always walk around Muralla street and imagine that I am walking in Vigan. If I didn’t study for a test, I can always go to Manila Cathedral or San Augustin Church to say a little prayer and ask for a passing grade. It’s crazy thinking that it’s near my place but it’s like walking from a place decades ago. .
Tip: if you don’t want to take the pedicab tour, you can just walk around or if you are already tired, just take a pedicab to go to specific places. My whole tour took 2 hours, so it it’s 600 pesos, then give 100 for tip . I know it’s quite expensive but just think of it as helping a head of the family, trying to make a decent living. I saw him with a big smile on his face. That’s a enough for a good deed for the day. .

Essentials v 2.0

Essentials v 2.0

*Sony MDR-XB950AP/H Extra Bass- Thanks to Music Deserves Respect campaign, I realized I need to buy a descent
headphones since I am a huge fan of music. With this headphones I can hear every beat, every noise that musicians  want or
doesn't want us to hear.

*Ipod 4th gen- 8 gb worth of music is a must for a audiophile(??) like me.

*Cds- I also like real things... like cds.. I do like vinyls.. if  I have enough money. There is a different feeling every time I
open a cd. I do read the credits... well i enjoy reading them. Musicians spend lot of time
to create music and even the packaging.

*Vicks- I do like inhaling stuff... haha! even if I don't have colds a nice dab in my nose and I am happy.

*Glasses-With my new glasses I feel like I have a superpower. I can see everything.

*Books- What I'm buying when it's payday? yeah books and cds...

*Watercolor pad-  learning to use watercolor

*Notebook- I need to write to keep me right... (what??) haha

Photo Challenge- Music Edition

So I decided to have this photo challenge. But I wanted something different, so I will use music titles as my photo inspiration. I don't know how will i pull this off, but one thing is for sure- this will be one heck of a fun challenge for me.

I don't plan to post pictures everyday, because I'm quite busy these days. I will just take pictures when I like or if I have to. so no pressure... :)

The first 10 songs are OPM while the second batch are foreign songs. Hope you will do this photo challenge too. Get your camera and let's do this!

Sydney Opera House

Once in a lifetime experience to see one 7 wonders of the world. So when I have a chance to see it or wherever I am, I took a picture in every angles I can imagine. Next time I want to watch an opera or play.. not just see the architectural design..
