A Movie Suggestion from a Movie Idiot

I have a bad habit of sleeping at movie theaters. I slept while watching Dark Night and the last one is Transformers II. But I really enjoyed the effects of the latter. It is also peculiar that I’m writing about movies right now.

I am a fan of comedy or romantic comedy type of films. The last movie I’ve seen is Hangover which is the no.1 rated R comedy film. I also like Adam Sandler movies. I have a dream movie. Gusto ko sana magkaroon ng movie ang Pugad Baboy. Yes, you read it right. The comic strip by Pol Medina Jr. I started reading it when I am starting to learn how to read. I think it is not that impossible since the characters of Pugad Baboy already appeared on a music video and commercial. They appeared on Sugarfree’s “Pugad” video. The video revolves about… what else but FOOD!!... They also appeared on a Quaker (tama ba?) commercial basta about food pa rin. The plot of the movie? Kahit ano… siguro pwede nilang gamitin yung mga nagawa na ni Pol like yung mga adventures sa ibang lugar like Palawan, Baguio… o kung saan man. Or kahit ano. Kahit mala the Simpsons the movie…


Since uso yung mga libro na gingawang movie sa Holywood bakit hindi natin yung try. Why not make Bob Ong’s books a movie? Mas maganda sana kung yung ABBNKKBSNPLAko! Since parang biography iyon ng buhay ng author. Gusto ko din sanang masapelikula ang Rant by Chuck Palanhuik. Ang astig ng storya at sa tingin ko mahirap yon gawing movie.

Siguro kulang na kulang ako sa panood ng movies para malaman kung ano maganda at hindi. Last month manood sana ako ng “Kinatay” kaso tapos na nung pumunta ako sa Rob Manila. Indie movies are overrated I think. And that’s good since Phil. Cinema needs movie that has more substance. The first and the last indie movie I’ve seen is “Kubrador” starring Gina Pareno. I am really impressed with the whole story plus characters. You will never see a movie like that in mainstream. I really like to watch lots of indie movies like “Ang Pagdadalaga…”, “Masahista”, “My Fake American Accent”, atbp.

October 23 (Friday)

Pampalubag loob. I got my grades. I have 3 A- and a B-. I computed it and I could be in the dean’s list. I’m freaking out!!! It’s every procrastinator’s dream. Actually I have another subject that I will take for 3 days next week. I don’t know if it’s only passed or failed. Its 2 units. So unofficially my QPA is 3.5… Hell yeah… but it’s not yet time to celebrate… my thesis still sucks.

Pero pampalubag loob talaga sooobra. Imagine being stressed out for the first time. Too stressed out. Then you will see your name in the hall because you are included to the list… the list that everybody wanted to be in…

Pero… hindi pa ko sure… that’s the sad part… I’m crossing my fingers…

Ang adik talaga… The worst thing that could happen to a graduating college student doing his/her thesis happened to me. It’s October and our defense is on December and just now our prof rejected our thesis proposal. WTF! We kept on repeating on her what will our thesis would be, she says nothing. So now I’m so ngarag… who wouldn’t be? I need to catch up. As in!!!

First time ata mangyari sa akin ito… I’m so fucking stressed out!! That even in my dreams I’m dreaming about our thesis…. Thesis, thesis, thesis!!!!!

Well we can’t do much because we are not allowed to play or anything. it is still blocked. so we just viewing our friends and their pictures to kill time. lisa opened her facebook and we saw her friend with D. oh by the way we had retreat for 3 days last week. It was fun because I was with Lis, Marj and Anj. we are sharing 2 rooms together. It was really, really fun. Well I’m still having LSS with the song Stupid Luv by Salbakuta. blame my friends for that. hahaha… Kumanta lang kami ng kumanta… hahaha… I will miss those days… hay… sobrang cheesy…

Rant

Oct.2 (Friday)

Pahabol… another weird thing about me is that I keep the receipts of the albums I buy. I want to see when and where I bought them. I am also planning to compute how much I spent on buying all that stuff—hehehe… but not now… I’m broke (walang pasok for 1 week!!! fuck!) and computing it will just make me feel worse.

Anyways, I want to write about a lot of things: the latest albums I am listening to, the books I’m reading, the suspension of classes, my fucking thesis, and my fucking prof—but let's see where I should start…

So now, I have decided to write something about the albums I purchased.

The most recent album I bought is Sandwich’s 2-in-1 CD. Well, because these past few days while listening to the radio, I kept hearing these songs called “Butterfly Carnival” and “Hairpin.” I love those songs! Then last Wednesday, I went to Astrovision just to look around, and I found out that Sandwich’s 2-in-1 CD was only 185 bucks. Well, I bought Mojofly’s 2-in-1 CD last July 13, 2007 (I told you I keep receipts!). When I guess it was still new, it cost 285 bucks. Imagine—2 CDs for just 185!!! It’s almost impossible!!! Hehehe…

I’m not yet done listening to it. 34 tracks is so many for my two ears! I am playing it on shuffle. Then I was surprised to hear a track sung by Raimund Marasigan—it sounded like a song from the E-Heads! But nonetheless… it is all good.

I also bought Kjwan’s 13 Seconds to Love. I love “Lifeline,” “13 Seconds to Love,” “Nasilayan,” and “Meron Ba?”.

I also bought Pupil’s Wildlife Repackaged Album. Dito ako magra-rant—grabe! Ang nakalagay kasi, may remastered 'yung mga songs. 'Yun pala, "Animal Lover" lang! Tapos sabi kasi may stickers—'yung kapatid ko kasi, gusto ng mga stickers like 'yung sa 5 on the Floor ng Sandwich. Hehehe, ang babaw… pero… ayun… Tapos puro music videos at demos… pang-lubag loob. Tapos merong mga pictures na pwede ko namang i-cut, copy, paste. Naiinis ako kasi naloko ako!! I already have the Wildlife album, kasi. Don’t get me wrong—I love that album, and it won Album of the Year at the NU Rock Awards last year! Pero para lang talaga akong nagtapon ng pera. Inis na inis ako… pero sinasabi ko na lang sa sarili ko, kay Ely naman 'yun, eh! Hehehe… tapos wala pa naman akong ibang album na gusto… pero… GRRRR… Sana bumili na lang ako ng E-Heads album, o kaya Lobo…

Bilib ako sa mga marketing strategy ng mga 'yan… Naloko ako… putek… I hate repackaged albums… Bakit ba may ganun??? Nakakaasar…

Ngayon ko lang naalala… Tapos na pala 'yung anniversary ng blog ko! Hahaha! 'Di ko na naalala… Last September pa. So, happy 3rd birthday to you! Dahil d'yan, i-renovate ko ulit… so please bear with me! Hahaha!
