Album: Transit

Label: Universal Records
Album Artist: Sponge Cola

Review:
It is a great sophomore album from a group of young musicians. They can create heavy and light songs at the same time. As the songwriting is concerned, nag evolve or mas nag mature pa. I think magugustahan pa lalo ng mga tao ito. Mas catchy yung mga songs dito than the previous one. But it’s all good. I feel the emotions that they want to show.

1) Bitiw- A great opening song for an album. You will look forward to sa iba nilang song. It’s an upbeat song that can make your head bang. It’s a song for their fellow musicians that to continue rocking out and make sure that “wag kang bibitiw bigla” because of course they dream about it and fortunately they achieved it. They also give an advise that “walang laglagan” or no back stubbing to each other because “sama samang hahanapin ang liwanag”. Very meaningful yet beautiful.
2) Tuliro- Lagi silang may background noise even sa 1st album nila. It’s cute ha. Parang mala e-heads yung style na may noise sa background. This happened to you when you we’re in love and don’t know what to do, don’t know what you feel, it is “tuliro”. One of my favorites. Gusto ko yung huling part where my parang choir or something at yung “tuliro, liro, tuliro, liro” part.
3) Movie- a narrative story about watching a movie with a loved one. It’s like na re-relate na natin yung nangyayari sa atin in those movies na we’ve watch. I also love it.
4) The Wandering- another up beat song pero English song this time.
5) Gunita- a light song. I like Gosh when he writes tagalong songs. It is a song made to cherish the times you have with your friends and loved ones because people come and go and you don’t know much time you have with them exactly. Live every moment and make it all count.
6) Do you know the feeling?- I also like this. When I heard this I thought ni revive nila tong song na ito. Parang may katunog na old song. It’s a song that pays tributes to the 80’s glam rock/ stadium rock era. It’s simply looking back to what you’ve feel and realized that things already changed.
7) Sa Bingit Ng Isang Paalam- it’s about how hard to say goodbye to someone you love. It’s also about what might happen next or consequences when someone will leave.
8) Myself In You- It’s like continuation of “Jillian” which Chris wrote and sung. Nag- evolve na yung relationship. It is also one of my favorites. Ang ganda din kasi ng sounds.
9) All We Need- it talks about heartbreak, but the sound is upbeat that can uplift you and leave you inspired.
10) Nocturne- it’s like Neon. I like it. The lyrics and the sounds match to each other. Yael always has this kind of songs in their albums.
11) Pasubali- it is about denial. A straight forward song.
12) Harapin- tastefully ends the album listening experience on an optimistic note. And soaring chorus leaves one with a sense of assurance. It talks about reality of tomorrow, of the future, and encourages a hopeful sentiment towards inevitability.
Packaging: Kakaiba sa mga cds na meron ako. Feeling ko ito yung reason kaya mahal.
Overall: I like it. It’s an album na gusting marinig when you’re doing something, kasi my upbeat songs to awake you up, and there is a “chillax” songs na if you want to slow things. Maganda din itong pakinggan with friends kasi maalala ninyo yung mga memories, past and anything. About the price na 295 bucks, hindi ko masyado gusto yung idea ng price. Siguro kasi kuripot ata ako, pero dahil sa Odyssey record bars meron libreng parang magazine about the band and some pictures ok na din yung price. Pero yung ibang record bars wala nun… so bahala na kayo kung bibilin ninyo. 8 rock strars.
