Neil Patrick Harris- One of A Kind Autobiography

Neil Patrick Harris is greater than Doogie Howser and Barney Stinson. You don't believe me? Check his very unique choose your own autobiography. It's true that  this is not full of words of wisdom, but well there are hidden lessons (and pages... Kungaloosh!) I believe... but he is so funny and witty as hell. I finished a NPH story for about 20 mins, since I picked correct story lines. But of course I wanted to know more about NPH.
NPH is former child star who fancies magic, who loves broadway and Cobie Smulders. Yes, he did mention that if women are not gross or sticky, Cobie Smulders is the girl he wants to marry. Awwww....

But well, spoiler alert NPH is gay and now newly married with David Burka and have 2 kids.

Check out the trailer below. This is the best celebrity autobiography so far.. hehehe

iDisorder

It's hard to do a task
When you can't even move your ass
All I want to do is sit here
Like Homer who likes beer

I like to climb
I like to dive
But all I can do is use Skype

I like to travel
I like to marvel
But all I can do is use tumblr

I like to be a painter
I like to be a photographer
But all I do is Twitter

I am a sloth
It's better than being a slut
Who likes to be laid all day
But me, all I want to do is lay...

Lougee- The Voice of the Philippines Season 2

Tama ba yung nakita ko? Si Lougee ba yung nasa 1:39?
I'm so excited. I am a big fan since her Mojofly days...
Sana naman hindi siya maging Aia part 2.

In a myx interview :

LOUGEE Answers The Question: "Kung Kasali Ka Sa 'The Voice' At Lahat Ng Coaches Humarap, Sino Ang Pipiliin Mo?"

I hope makasali siiya sa season 2 :)

Morrissey is the original EMO

He is probably the pioneer of using emotional lyrics. If you want to be sadder during a sad day or if you want to know that there is someone is having a bad day than you, listen to The Smiths or Morrisey. I am sad to learn that he is battling cancer.
Morrissey's words regarding life and cancer:

“If I die, then I die. And if I don’t, then I don’t. Right now I feel good. I am aware that in some of my recent photos I look somewhat unhealthy, but that’s what illness can do. I’m not going to worry about that, I’ll rest when I’m dead.”

He is the epitome of being emotional yet it really captures your inner feelings.

Listen to these songs if you haven't hear it...

Arctic Monkeys

I think it's the first time I'll write about a foreign band. Anyways, I am also obsessing over other foreign indie bands too such as The Strokes, Vaccines, Muse and other bands. Here are some of their very unique renditions of  new and some classic songs. They are the perfect example of how artist should cover a song. When you will hear it, you know it's from other artist, but because of their unique take on the song you know that it's arctic monkeys.

I am not fan of RnB or hiphop, but I love their cover for Drake's song "Hold on we're going home"

"Baby I'm yours"

"Diamonds are Forever"

Naalala kita...

"Naalala kita pag umuulan...Sembreak"

That's a line from the song Sembreak. Pero ang naaala ko talaga pag umuulan ay TAX...
Sumasakay ako ng MRT araw-araw. Sa umaga from Taft to Magallanes lang, pag pauwi Ayala to Taft.

When I feel down I need some Up dharma down

"Di mo lang alam.. ako'y iyong nasaktan"

I found them again! at last... I terribly need their company after a very stressful week commuting... 3-4 hours from Makati to Pasay?? insane right...

Anyway, Up dharma down washed away my pain. They said their set is around 7 pm, but of course it started around 9 pm.. Filipino time at it's finest... We waited for 2 to 3 hours.. but it's ok.. it's up dharma down eh.. and for the 2nd time (haha) I have some company. I always watch gig alone because it's less stressful for me.

It's quite annoying, because my friend who is a fan of  up dharma down (daw) can't even name the vocalist. she said "nandyan na ba si Nikki?" "Sinong nikki?" I asked... "Yung vocalist ng up dharma down" Oh.. right bravo you are a big fan of the band... I do like tell trivia like, Ean Mayor is from Malibay Pasay or Armi us from UP... haha Or I saw them at MOA while buying a guitar from RJ. but of course I didn't...

Techy Romantics also performed... I really pity them... because they are really good, I love their songs... but of course I think among the audience I am one of the few who knew some songs... I really wish them well. I hope they will be famous outside the country... Here in the Philippines?? I doubt it.. They will, if they make it outside the country. That's the sad truth.. Oh and after they finished their set, I saw the vocalist get her bag on stage. Sorry vocalist, I like you but we laughed and said "Uy si Ate nagmamadaling umalis".

I also saw DJ Dylan or is it Karen of the late NU 107 with her husband and kid. I read her blog post. Check it out: http://reformedrockstar.wordpress.com/  I never thought she lived that kind of life. just check that site to find out her story.

The Ringmaster also performed. I never heard of them or him(?) They are only 2 on stage. A drummer and the vocalist. The vocalist used some techy stuff for the bass or electric parts.

Then Up dharma down. they performed I think 7 songs. They sang 1 song that I didn't recognize. Maybe it's from Bipolar album. There's a phase in my life when I didn't like their music (sorrry.. I hate that part of me. I am ashamed to admit it). But I am back...really back liking their Music. and I'm also liking Bipolar album. Check Unspoken definites!

I know, I am quite a hipster.. "Oo" shouldn't be my favorite song from them...But it is just so beautiful.. And they performed it!! and I melted...

They sang Tadhana, Indak, Luna, Night Drops and Turn it Well..

And oh by the way, i like to tell that Paul Yap seems a friendly dude. He is the only one, before the show walks around the venue, makes pa picture and drinks beer. hahaha!

Thank God for Up dharma down. Please don't make them disband. I need them in my worst days...

Wallpaper Selfie

I think I found my new pet peeve. Because I have my glasses now, I can see clearly and felt like I have a  super power. Whenever I'm out like when riding jeepney, Mrt or bus, I can see people's wallpaper. Most of them, their wallpaper is their picture or selfie. I vomit in my mouth every time I see one. I mean seriously.. aren't you tired of your face? I would understand if your picture is like this...
or this....
I wouldn't mind..

This is my current wallpaper. Am I the odd one here?

Essentials v 2.0

Essentials v 2.0

*Sony MDR-XB950AP/H Extra Bass- Thanks to Music Deserves Respect campaign, I realized I need to buy a descent
headphones since I am a huge fan of music. With this headphones I can hear every beat, every noise that musicians  want or
doesn't want us to hear.

*Ipod 4th gen- 8 gb worth of music is a must for a audiophile(??) like me.

*Cds- I also like real things... like cds.. I do like vinyls.. if  I have enough money. There is a different feeling every time I
open a cd. I do read the credits... well i enjoy reading them. Musicians spend lot of time
to create music and even the packaging.

*Vicks- I do like inhaling stuff... haha! even if I don't have colds a nice dab in my nose and I am happy.

*Glasses-With my new glasses I feel like I have a superpower. I can see everything.

*Books- What I'm buying when it's payday? yeah books and cds...

*Watercolor pad-  learning to use watercolor

*Notebook- I need to write to keep me right... (what??) haha

Out of Time

Someday I'll find you
Maybe across the street
Or under the blue reef
In a rock concert
Or somewhere in African desert

Are you in South?
Or busy kissing other girl's mouth
Do you really exist
Or just my futile wish

I'm running out of time
Run fast as you can
I'm losing all hope
That someone will like a dope
Maybe I'm not made to be loved by someone
I am born to wait for a lifetime...

If you happen to find me
Hope you find me sublime
Don't waste any time
Forget your past
Love me like I'm your last

There is a spot in hell for us

Acid intakes
A number of heartbreaks
Luscious wickedness
Creator of mendacity
Master of apathy
Leader of gluttony
Known for harassing the humanity
Let the fire burn you to death
I'm counting your last few breaths
Organizing your funeral
Makes you extra special
There is a spot in hell for us
Save me some space
I'll stare at your face...

Desolation

The darkness
Is all I can see
Amid the chaos
I can't see clearly
To you my life revolves
Circling like lightning bolt

the desolation of the humanity
is too much to carry
your time is so short
your life ended abruptly
gravity...
It's certainly working against me

I love you is all i can say
I know you can't stay
your life is well lived
but i will surely grieve
lost forever
in heaven we will be together

Singing, Waiting and Day Dreaming

I'm singing
Cause I'm waiting...
I'm day dreaming
Cause I'm searching for you...

I look at my watch
hey baby hush
My time is running out
I'm singing this out loud.

I send out my wish
to the universe please answer it...
Because I am looking for so long
this time I can't go wrong

EsquireEheads Singles

"Saan, saan napunta kislap ng iyong Mata? Maibabalik pa ba?"

The two new singles of Eraserheads are giving us so much "feels".

With the release of the songs, I can't help but disect (naks big word) or analyze it.

Sabado is written by the Eraserheads except Ely plus Erwin Romulo according to the album sleeve. At first I thought Ely wrote it since it's the usual tongue in cheek, straight to the point kind, a style that they were known for. The song opened with a familiar guitar intro of Pare Ko. The first line "Buti na Lang Sabado bukas" is like the natural way of talking with their friends. It's both current and nostalgic at the same the time. You can't help but think of your younger days. It can be included in the Cutterpillow album. The theme and sound is as the same league as the songs in that album. Ely's singing voice in this song is "Pupil"voice and not "Eraserheads" voice. You can't miss Marcus' guitar solos. This is an epic comeback song.I've listened to this for 100 times already. We just miss e-heads don't we?

1995 is written by Ely Buendia and Erwin Romulo. Unlike the first song, 1995 is deeper, darker song. It can be part of Stickerhappy or Carbon Stereoxide album. The first verse:
"Saan, saan na napunta Kislap ng iyong mata
Maibabalik pa ba?" is he talking about us? the audience who adored the band, that somehow left them or is he talking about fame?"Ngayon ang langit ay bughaw At sya’y sumasayaw Ako’y nasisilawSa labas sila’y naglalaroHindi makatayoSinong sasalo?" I'm quite lost but my interpretation for this line is way back in 1995, he is concerned about his kids. What if they are not that famous anymore? How will they survive life?
"Pwede bang sunugin ang tulay Ayokong sumabay
Sinong papatay Akoy’ naghihintay….. aaay Sa Nineteen Ninety-five Nineteen Ninety-five" This is the interesting part. I can't help but translate it to english. Pwede bang sunugin ang tulay- does he want to burn bridges?does he want to cut off ties with his past? Is this an ironic song? He is playing this song with his previous band but he really doesn't want to do this or to relieve the good ol' days? Uggh.. Maybe I'm just thinking a lot. The two songs in general are timeless, hit worthy songs.. Ely, Marcus, Raymund and Buddy are really bringing the best when they are together. Eraserheads is just magical whatever year it is.

Block and Write

My relationship with my blog is always on and off. Sometimes I can write every day… and sometimes I can't even type a single sentence. This year, I didn't post much. Then I realized how many memories or events that happened in my life were never put into writing. They say an event didn't really happen if it isn't written down.

I am not a good writer or blogger—I've mentioned that thousands of times before. But I do like to think a lot, and I have opinions that I don't have the courage to say during face-to-face conversations. This blog is an avenue for an awkward, shy introvert like me, using the power of technology to share sentiments that I can't express out loud in the real world.

"A blog is neither a diary nor a journal. Many people think of blogging in relation to those two things—confessional or practical. It is neither, but includes elements of both."
