“Oh Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, ang lungkot araw pag dating ng Tuesday”

I went to a mall to buy internet load, earphones for my MP3 and 2 C battery for the remote control car of my lil’ bros. I went first to National Bookstore. I headed at the book area. I don’t know why. Then I saw this book by Bob Ong (the author of a very funny but good book ABNKKBSNPLKO) entitled “Stainless Steal Longanissa”. I have thoughts of buying that book pero I got confused when I saw “5 Person You Meet in Heaven”. Konti lang naman yung dala kong pera. Mga 280 ata yung book. Then nakita ko tong “Tuesdays with Morrie”. 270 bucks. Kaso I really want the “5 Person..” dati pa. pero mukhang maganda naman din yung “Tuesdays With Morrie” kasi same author lang naman. So I buy “Tuesdays… “Instead. It’s my 2nd time to buy a book with my own money. The first time was when I buy the “Tikman Ang Langit…”. I read books but I don’t usually buy I’ll borrow lang than buying one, like borrowing from library and from friends.

Nung bibili ako ng earphones nagkulang pera ko. Buti naawa sa akin yung nagbebenta. Haha…

Then when my job is done, I went home. Naglakad nga lang ako pauwi. Hindi biro yung nilakad ko. Ang layo din yun noh. Then I read that book agad. Quite good ha kahit I just read some part of it. So now I can’t wait to buy another book. I buy albums more than my clothes. Actually I don’t buy my own clothes. Haha. I let my mother do that for me. so ngayon I add books sa mga list na I’ll buy with my own money. Naku madugong pag-iipon ito.

Tignan mo nga naman. Bumili ako ng “Tuesdays with Morrie” on Tuesday.

Parokya ni Kamikazee

“ano mas gusto mo, Parokya ni Edgar or Kamikazee ? asked by my friend. “Well, halos pareho lang naman sila di ba? I answered.

Did I answer his question, mukhang hindi. So why give it a try now. Parokya ni Edgar has been for quite some time now. Last Sunday I saw them at A.S.A.P. celebrating their 13th year. I know lot of their songs unlike Kamikazee of course Parokya has more album than Kamikazee.

I remember that John Hendrix a.k.a. Johnny Baby, awarded Kamikazee, the Parokya Ni Edgar Award in Pinoy Mag. PNE introduced Kamikazee in the LivELY as Parokya ni Kamikazee.


I’m not really a big fan of these two bands but I like some of their songs. PNE created a suitor song “Harana”, they have also this kinda RnB with a hip hop flavor “The Yes Yes Show” and the really heart warming “Your Song”. Sa Kamikazee naman I just know few song from them like yung mga singles that they’ve released. When “Narda” hit the airwaves, I really like it but as time goes by I got tired of it because wherever I go “Narda” is always there. Sa radio, school, jeep, bus… basta anywhere and everywhere “Narda” is there.

Voice wise they both don’t have that really good voice but Chito’s voice ay malamig. Si Jay iba eh.

They both also have full of humor, yan yung isang characteristic that I like sa isang guy. Yung may sense of humor.

o.k. hindi ko pa rin nasasagot yung tanong. I think I’ll stick to PNE. I’m planning to buy their new album containing their greatest hits, I guess.

+Internet- when I have nothing to do, internet is the answer in my boredom.

+Drawing- I really love drawing or sketching. I should have taken Fine Arts kaso like what many people says “walang pera dyan”

+Music- wala pa akong nabibiling cds lately. Tsk tsk… I’m dying to buy an album…!!!

+Ely Buendia- hehe… wala akong magagawa, kakaibe ka eh…

+You… to my own Ely Buendia (haha… I’m calling him like that. Di ba may contest sa MTV yung My own, kung saan maghahanap ka ng look alike or kaboses basta yung your own na selected mong artist. ) na brainwash niya ako na kamukha niya si Ely. And now you’re fresh from my list. naks!!

+Bead making- I really love doing art stuffs…

+my bangs- ako lang ang nag gupit. Halos araw araw ata ginugupit ko yung nuhok ko. Haha…

Rockestra III

These are bands that I think would be on the Rockestra III if meron pa nga nito.

+Sponge Cola- kasi last year Hale so ayan. Gets. Gulo ko

+Pupil- last year The Dawn. Another rock legend yan. Since Eraserheads ay isa sa rock legends ayan si Ely. At tsaka tapos na din ang Sandwich, Cambio, Twisted Halo which I think shortcut for eraserheads. Kaso Rockestra is with cooperation with Thirdline Inc. eh di ba there’s something between Ely and Thirdline? Keep our fingers cross.

+Rivermaya- legendary na din yan. Plus I think maganda ang kalalabasan nun dahil pwede talagang samahan ng orchestra ang mga kanta nila.

+Typecast- um… parang last year kasi Urban dub and Up dharma Down sila yung biggest indie band that year. So this year parang Typecast will replace them. I think.

+Mojofly- another indie band. Wala lang I just like them.
Siguro naman kahit isa dito would be on the actual list of the Rockestra III.

Pls Chino!!! Place them on the list. I have your album… Fuchsiang Pag-Ibig… hehehe… or I can tell to the dean of music in our school. She is a part of that production. Yung skul ko kasi is well known for music education. I guess.

It’s Mayweather (tama ba spelling) vs. De La Hoya(Golden Boy… kaya yung opening line ko Golden Boy from Rivermaya) today. As what I saw, I thought De la Hoya would win. As in when Mayweather would be at the side, De La Hoya will take advantage of it then punches him left and right, so I don’t get it bakit natalo siya? It’s like a mystery to me… haha… anyways; he is not naman Filipino so ok lang. leave it to them…

I saw Rivermaya and Bamboo at SOP. Pero that is a replay. I also Sponge cola singing… well I forgot the title even though paulit ulit yung title. Well, katunog siya ng harapin or any songs from the Transit album. I think. Then after mass, I usually listen to RT for their Sunday Sessions. Their guest was Sino Sikat? I think their vocalist Kat is hot. I like some of their songs kahit na medyo soul na RnB na di ko masyado trip. Then I also listened to RockED radio at Nu. I like to listen to it because it makes me smarter. Haha. Their topic is about Mother. It’s like a tribute to Mother’s Day since Mother’s day will be on next week. You ask why so early eh may next Sunday pa naman? It is because the day after that is the election so they will talk about election instead. RockED is quite political. Pero they also talk about everything and anything like yung topic nga nila ngayon about mothers. Yun nga lang nahahaluan pa rin ng politics. Guest nila sina Aia (Taralet’s fame as what Gang said), Isa a make up artist, the vocalist of Greyhoundz, and Jaime Gatchitorena ata… then may dumadating na ibang guest like Mark Abaya, Zach Lucero, Francis Brew(parang guest na din even though he is a dj from that station). Yun nga about their mothers. Isa’s mother is a lesbian. Then nakaka shock din yung vocalist ng greyhoundz kasi syempre when you say greyhoundz, punk rock… pero very quiet lang siya and he really loves his mother. Ayun basta ang ganda ng talk nila. May sinabi si Gang and Lourd na nakakatawa pero ang ganda ng meaning… kaso I forgot… Nakaka inspire…

Then my father is switching channels nalipat niya sa Channel 7. I saw Miggy of Chicosci. So bumaba ako agad to watch that. 2nd round na sila. Ang naabutan ko yung katayan round and guess who’s the hired killer… yup it’s Ely Buendia. Nag ka phobia nako… kasi nga diba last January he is a contestant from that show tapos next day heart attack. Well sana hindi nga pero pumasok yan sa utak ko. Ok… erase erase erase… natatawa ako every time nag ko-comment siya sa mga contestant like “Tapos na ba? inantok kasi ako eh” haha. yung mga contestant ay sina Miggy, Biboy, vocalist ng Frio, Kala, Mom’s Cake sino pa ba… nakalimutan ko na…basta ayun… then I remember he also said “yung dalawa ok at yung isa no way”… haha quite corny siguro pero natatawa ako… lalo’t na nung binibigkas yun. Hay… he is so… he is so… can’t explain. There’s something about him that can’t be explaine and it’s another mystery for me. If you don’t know him, then you saw him on that show, you never think that he experienced a heart attack and got triple angioplasty. And I think nasabi ko na ito but I’ll say it again he is more handsome now than his e-head days.

So let’s go to Miggy. in fairness, he is handsome pala. Yun nga lang parang nag aahit ng kilay. Aba daig pa ako. He is also hyperactive. When Jaya and Allan K is on cue para to say something, eh nakikita siya sa camera todo pose na parang nag joke sa camera. He sang mga ballads and old songs. haha. ang layo sa chicosci sound. Ah, oo nga pala I think they are one of the bands nakasali sa isang contest. Forgot the name of the contest. Parang puro Asian bands ata… sory… I have amnesia. Haha. Then he won nga pala. Tapos yung k-hilingan niya is for sister na hindi niya kamukha and spokening dollar ha. Astig ni Miggy. Ay oo nga pala. Yung last round when they are 3 contestants left, tapos Ely need to choose one na kakatayin, he chose Biboy. Lahat nga pala sila ay walang mali so parang it’s up to Ely. Maybe closeness is a factor why Ely chose Miggy . Syempre if tatangalin ni Ely si Shiela, vocalist ng Frio, parang obvious naman diba. Gets? I mean among the three yung Frio yung di ka close ng Pupil. Tapos I think closer si Miggy than Biboy. Siguro lang ha. Kasi at NU Rock Awards I saw Miggy, siya yung nag introduce sa Pupil. I don’t know if that’s evidence or it makes sense. Pero ayun.

Tapos sa Sharon, palipat lipat din kasi ako ng Channel, I saw Kean of Calla Lily, he sang a Metro Pop song, ok yung voice niya ha. I mean not the usual vocalist voice. Medyo parang powerful. Then ayun nga palipat lipat ako ng channel, nalipat ko sa PBO, I saw Kuh Ledesma with 4 girls. I think that girls are from Keltcross. I really don’t know much about them. I just read about them at the “Tikman Ang Langit” they have the same management with Eraserheads the Racket Group. And one of them is the ex of Raimund na I think last, last week kasama niya sa isang gig because Myrene was not in Manila. Hmmm…

Haha… napanood ko na to. pero di ko sila nakita. Anyways luma na ito and yung featured vocalist are Jet Pangan Group, The Jerks, Wolfgang, Razorback and marami pa. yung sa Jet Pangan Group, nandun si Ricci Gurango and Allan of Mojofly. Hehe cute ng itsura nila. Si jet pangan hindi nagbabago ang face.

So ayan andaming discoveries. Andami ko ding nakalimutan. Tsk tsk…

“People say you need money for food”

It’s my 1st day of being a dish washer/maid/baby sitter, or maybe an all-around maid. Hahaha. Our maid leaves for her vacation. So I will be quite productive these days. Hahaha. Like kanina, I washed the dishes, fold our clothes, and let my brother take a bath. Well, its not the first time it happened. Pero, o.k lang. as like what I’ve said, in these simple chores I feel useful and important.

Anyways, we went again in Mall of Asia. It’s the last day of my relatives to be here because tomorrow, they will leave and they will go back home. We ate at Mannang/Mannhan… tama ba? Yun… ang sarap ng foods. Like yung fried rice nila, yung vegetables basta lahat. Soobrang dami ng food that my head aches. Naku high blood na ba ako? Hahaha…

Ayun. We were complete kanina. All of my siblings were there. Ayun. It’s nice to see my kuya. We talk and kinda bonded. I miss him. bakit naman hindi? When we are still small, pero until now small pa naman kami, we are play mates. Haha. no choice eh. Isang taon lang ang difference nang age naming. He teach me to play chess, tong-its, basketball, play station… haha. he is in a far away place because he is studying in a far away place. Haha. not quite far. Nasa somewhere in caloocan.

Hide and seek with cockroaches…

I really, really, really hate cockroaches. Every time when I see one, I’m always shock. Kasi parang nag “peek-a-boo” siya. Tapos parang he is very happy to scare me. Like yesterday, he hides near my bed, then when I’m looking something biglang siyang lumabas. Omigosh!! I’m not really into cursing. I only curse here in my blog and in my thoughts. And sometimes, when I’m really angry. Yung mga ipis nay an ang suki sa pag mumura ko. As in!! I’m really angry and disgusted sa roaches. I really don’t get why God created cockroaches. Parang wala naman silang natutulong sa mundo. Ang kayan lang nilang gawin ay inisin ako. Pang pasira talaga ng araw. So, one of characteristics in a guy is he must know how to kill a cockroach. Kasi di ko talaga kaya.

I wrote this poem in my 4th year. That time when I wrote that I’m thinking of what would happen in the future. I lost my communication with my grade school friends so I don’t want to happen it again. It’s about peers and fears. So I want to dedicate this to my high school friends. You know who you are!!

I like this video because it’s a different kjwan. You know not the usual rock, dark (as in madilim) video. Here very chillax. At maliwanag yung set unlike Daliri, Pintura, Sa ilalim… I think all of their videos are dark. Haha. I love this song. It became my LSS for the month of March. I really like the idea of the little kids impersonating kjwan. I really like the song plus they turn 3600… so 5 out of 5 rockstars

I like the song ulit. I also like the place. Dito bas a Pinas yun? Parang may desert. Then the idea of the video is I think she(Aia) is waiting for someone to fetch her kaya she just lie sa kalagitnaan ng kalye.


Mahilig talaga si Aia humiga sa weird places. Like in Akap, sa likod ng car ngayon naman sa kalsada. So I’ll give 4 and a half rockstars!!
3) Upside down by 6 cyclemind
haha… you guess it… I love this song too. But unlike the other video, hindi ko masyado type yung video. It’s like Calla lily’s “Magbalik” na parang “Prinsesa”. Because parang nag-aact na 1 or 2 person ala “Magbalik” then instead na may caption may talkies ala “Prinsesa”. Until now I’m waiting for their continuation for “Umaasa” video. Akala nila nakalimutan ko na. haha. So I will give 3 rockstars!!
4) Dear Kuya by Sugarfree may pagka “Palibhasa lalaki” ang feel ng video. Haha. Naabutan ko yan noh. It’s a sitcom. So ayun may pagka sit com yun video.
Andun si Monra!! Hehe.. my favorite. Andun din sina Maui Taylor, Tuesday Vargas and some that I don’t know. Anyways, ok yung video sa I will give 3 and a half rockstars!!!

Koboy

Things you enjoy, even when no one around you wants to go out and play. What lowers your stress/blood pressure/anxiety level? Make a list, post it to your journal... and then tag 5 friends and ask them to post it to theirs.

1) Coke Float- better than those of Starbucks drinks. Of course lalo na’t Summer ngayon. It’s not easy to have money.
2) Watching Ellen- I found her as an interesting character. A while ago I just saw her crying when the African choir sang with Josh Groban singing “You Raise Me Up”
3) Listening to music- it’s one of those things that you can do whether you are happy, sad, anxious, reviewing, etc..
4) Writing at my journal- I have an on-line journal and a real diary.
5) Making ka art-ehan- I love drawing, sketching… and now I found myself, doing mosaics pictures.
6) Making my D-I-Y bracelets and necklaces- it’s a fun way to kill time. You’re not only killing time you also being a productive in a way.
7) Looking at my scrapbook- it’s a relaxing way to see memories in form of pictures.
8) Making another scrapbook- this time a scrapbook about my college life
9) Seeing my crushes on tv- nakakawala ng pagka depress o loneliness…
10) Day dreaming- I love to day dream. It’s nice to dream because my dreams are really impossible.
11) Eating street foods- mura lang and delicious pa for me. I really like fish balls, isaw, ballot (is it a street foods?) basta anything na nilalangaw at iniihaw. I’m a quite a koboy…

Just a few days ago I posted something about E-heads. How I wanted to hear their songs live. Last Saturday after going to a piano lesson I went to glorietta with my mother. Then I hear some noise as if there’s somebody singing. I’m at the 2nd floor and I saw people looking down at the ground floor which is the activity center of the mall. As I grew closer I hear “Pare Ko” and got surprised when it’s Ely Buendia and his band Pupil. At last I saw him and hear an Eraserheads song even though not the original members of the band were there to perform that first hit song from their album “Ultraelectromagneticpop!” We stopped for a while to listen the song. My mother sings along because she knew the song. Kahit na nalalakasan or naiingayan siya. Eh ako I’m used to that noise na. its funny kasi when they were in the “tang ina” part Ely would stop singing and let the people sing that part. I just imagine na Raimund, Buddy and Marcus were there or just focus on Ely’s face, at that point parang Eraserheads ay nandun na din. But when they sang “Kalawakan” its time to focus on all of the band members. It’s not Eraserheads song anymore. I didn’t expect them to see on that day. But you know I really pray to see them and other bands that I like. So mas maganda pala talaga when things happened unexpectedly. Doble yung happiness.

Game ka na ba Yael, Ali?

Wiheeee!!! I’m happy that I wasn’t able to attend the basketball game in Rizal. Yael and Ali two of the hottest guy from me where the contestants for Game Ka Na Ba? In Chanel 2. I’m very proud for them. They were able to be in the 2nd stage, I don’t know what it is called. Anyways, before they make atras abante, it is a ritual that Kris will ask the contestant stupid, funny, intrigue questions. Kris saw Sitti’s legs. Then I think Kris asked Yael, Ali and Jazz(?)(Itchyworms) about their exercise. Yael said he jogs 3 kilometers a day while Ali doesn’t do anything. Then Kris said that during commercial break, Yael wants to be near Sitti. Yael’s face expressions was so cute!! Then Kris asked something and Yael said something like “she’s tattooed on my mind”. Then Sitti sang some lines. Then Kris asked Yael to sing a song for Sitti. He sang “Crazy for you”. Kris let Yael and Sitti to look each other, eye to eye contact. Then back to the game, at first Ali and Jazz and Sitti were ahead of Yael but as soon as he answered the question sunod sunod na tama niya. Because of this Yael was able to be the first to won in the atras abante round. He had a 2atras powers. Kris gave advice if he uses his atras powers to Ali and Jazz, Sitti will have a great advantage. Yael followed Kris. So the audience goes Uy….!! Because of what Yael did, Sitti won having another slot for the final round. Kris said that Yael owe a kiss from Sitti. Wiheee!!! As far as I know, Yael has a girlfriend. That’s it. I’ll keep quiet….

Moving on

Pupil is Ely Buendia’s 3rd band after the phenomenal Eraserheads and the short lived The Mongols.
In my own observation Pupil managed to set their own style and sound. I mean different from the sound of his former bands. pero kahit papaano meron paring tunog ng ex bands niya, I think hindi talaga mamaalis yun because they have same vocalist.
Actually, hindi din naging madali ito for Ely. Why? Because he changed his name from Jesus “Dizzy” Ventura. For me, at that point he wanted people to forget him as being with his former band. Pero di mo maalis yun sa tao kahit na palitan pa yung name mo. Kahit ngayon, ganun parin naman. His “eraserheads status” will never be erased.

However Ely is not only the talented one in the group. They also have the former bassist of The Teeth, the former guitarist of Yan Yuzon and Bogs Jugo of Daydream Cycle. I saw Dok’s old pictures. His hair is longer than mine. Si yan naman I really admire him because his a multitasker. He could be a director, writer, actor, guitarist, bassist, vocalist, professor or whatever. In the other hand, Bogs is also really talentedWith their debut album “Beautiful Machines” .I don’t know with the other bands but Pupil is the only one who’s all the members plus their manager sings in the album. So they are composing of T-A-L-E-N-T-E-D people.
Maybe they are not as popular as eraserheads but I think they have this chemistry and they show what’s friendship truly means

Why do girls go gaga with rockstars?

I got this from pinoy exchange. Ouch!! Sapul ako dun. Hindi naman ako maka reply dun kasi I don’t have any account. Anyways, why not naman to like them di ba? I think it’s the same when I ask you why people go gaga with celebrities. It’s the same. The only difference is that rockstars are rockstars and celebrities are celebrities. (do I make sense?) haha. Another is in my case I love Ely, Ali, Mong, Gab, Yael or Rico not only because of their looks but because of their music. Nagkataon na lang na gwapo talaga ang mga rockstars. When you listen to their songs at your mp3, radio or IPod, you don’t see these guys. And nasasayo nay un if you like these guys because of the music or with their looks. I know someone na ang tinitignan lang sa mga rock bands ay ang itsura kesa sa music.

Why people hates Cueshé?

At first when “Stay” became a hit nagustuhan ko sila. Then “Sorry”, “Ulan” came out. Pero I lost my interest because I get tired of their music and I think because of the environment na din. Andaming may ayaw sa kanila. Isa na ko dun dati pero I realized that wala naman silang ginagawang masama. They just play music. And I read before about their past. Yung struggles nila. I think isa sila sa mga banda na naghirap talaga to attain what they are now. Infairness kahit sobrang daming may ayaw sa kanila ang madami naman din silang supporters (I guess).

Things about Piracy

Piracy is an act of getting the musician’s music without asking permission. Ok fine. I have a couple of pirated cds. And I think you can’t blame me or any other people who buys pirated cd. If you compare the price the pirated only cost 40-50 pesos. The original naman cost 250-300 pesos (OPM albums). Sobrang laki ng diperensya. Kung longevity naman ang pag-uusapan, talagang matagal ang buhay ng original album. Pero kelan lang I found this pirated album from my kuya. It’s Paolo Santos’ album. Kailan ba siya sumikat? Mga 2003? 2004? Sobrang gasagas na yung cd tapos kung saan saan lang nakalagay. Then wala siyang casing. Yung itsura niya di mo aakalain na tutunog pa. pero I try to play sa component. Ayun gumagana pa naman. So I rip agad yung songs sa computer para ma preserve. So ayun. Even pirated cd has long life. Some musicians din naman understand people why some buy pirated. Hello, we are living in a 3rd world country. Kaya sa mga musicians kailangan talagang mag full force in doing your album kasi mahirap kumita ng pera. And kawawa naman yung bumibili ng orig kung worthless naman. Sa mga record companies babaan naman ang presyo. Hehe…

What the?!! Heard of this several times. Naaah… I don’t think so. He has a girlfriend. But of course having a girlfriend doesn’t mean na real guy ka. Pero no… guy talaga si Yael (I guess).

Lougee poses nude on new men’s and fashion L’Orient magazine

Here’s the complete information: Apparently, Lougee was rumored that she posed nude in the country's new men's and fashion L'Orient magazine. According to the source, two of her shots featured her topless (One with a male model pointing her right nipple and the other with her hands both raised as if praising). Another shot shows her pubic hair in a rock lingerie fashion. This rumor was later confirmed. The magazine though is distributed in Singapore and only limited copies are in the Philippines.

At first I believed on that certain article about her. But after 5 minutes, I told to myself, Nah… it’s not true. Lougee studied, or still studying on a catholic all girl school like me. If the school authority of her school learned about this, naku lagot siya. Kasi like Andrea del Rosario, kinakahiya siya ng school namin. Anyways, if that’s true, lougee have a beautiful face and body so ok lang. for art’s sake siguro. Haha. You know if I’m a guy, si Lougee ang crush ko. Ka level niya yung pagiging crush ko sa kaniya sina Ely at Ali. Hahaha. I tried to ask it to their manager thru mailing list, pero hindi pi-nost. Kaya nakakataka din bakit hindi pi-nost ng moderator niya. Well, I respect them. I’m just so curious.

Why there shouldn’t be a reunion?

Got this from E-heads mailing list. di ko na basa yung whole message. But anyways, why naman hindi? Well on the second thought, pwedeng wag muna because hindi pa ka establish yung friendship nilang 4. well, mukhang malapit na mabuo, lalo na’t may gig together in one event ang pupil at sandwich. Step by step muna. I understand naman them. lalo’t na I learned the real reason behind Diane. Yun nga lang I haven’t heard Raimund’s side. Pero I know that ereaserheads reunion is just out there. Waiting for the right time.

Hay naku!! Si Mike “Excuse me poh” Enriquez was the culprit why they reformatted. Actually, I understand why he wanted to be this way. I think, at the old LS, their GMA artist they have no chance to play their song. Kaya hindi masyado sumisikat yung songs nila unlike ABS-CBN artist. Pero ngayon mas gugustuhin ko pa ang 101.9 For Life. Ang corny sooobra ng LS.

What is love for you, honestly?
It is a feeling that you received from someone.

Do you love someone now?We always have someone to love.

What is faith for you?
Faith… actually it’s a part of my thesis. Faith is needed in every thing we do. For example is in believing god. We don’t see god but with a little faith in our side we know god really exist, and for me I don’t need to see him personally to know that he exist that is because of my “faith”.

For you, what is music?Music is the air that I breathe. My day will not be completed without listening to music. I’m an OPM lover. Why? I don’t know, but I think it’s because I can relate with them then foreign artist. But I also love some of them (foreign artist).


Do you love writing?
Medyo. But I don’t think writing loves me. haha. I’m not really that good in grammar but I’m trying my best. I also love writing poems. Sometimes, I’m shocked sa mga poems na nasulat ko. Parang ako ba talaga gumawa niyan?

What is it that people don’t know from you?
I’m a shy person. Parang sa lahat ng hindi ko magawa sinisisi ko ang pagiging shy ko. And I think there’s a lot more that people don’t know from me.

Dislikes?
About myself? Minsan pabago-bago talaga ako… parang now this is my decision but after 5 minutes it could change again and again…

What consumes you time mostly?Listening to music, internet, watching t.v., doing some art stuffs…

What’s your favorite song?Paiba iba… like what I’ve said magulo utak ko. Pero I think masasama sa list ang “With A Smile”, “Akap” and “You’ll be safe here”. With a smile because there’s a lot of memories na nakapaloob sa song na yan. It’s our 4th year high school theme song. Akap, because it’s so simple but it really touches my heart and “You’ll be safe here” because napaka ganda ng lyrics. Example is “when no one hear you screams I will scream with you…”


Do you have any addictions or obsession?
Arts and music. Medyo malayo sa course ko.

What qualities are you looking for a boy?
Physically he could be medyo bumbayin mala Ali Alejandro, Ritchie Paul Gutierrez or Kean of PBB. Pero I also like “tsinito” mala Ely Buendia, Mong Alcaraz… If you could see halos puro mga musicians so I also like na musically incline sila. Pag ganyan na sila kahit bad ka basta ganyan look mo pasado ka na… hehehe joke lang…

Do you regret something about your life?
Yeah… I don’t want to go on details…

What is life for you?Living a life is so hard. There are a lot of challenges to face, too many decisions to decide on, to many people to meet. Basta lahat TOO MANY… But as what Aia de Leon said on the song “Akap”, “Simple lang ang buhay kung ikaw ay matino”.

I'm going back to the start

Birthday ng aking father. We celebrated it without my 2 other brothers kasi nasa grandfather ko sila. We went to Asia Mall, that’s how my father called the Mall of Asia. We ate somewhere. Go somewhere. And bond. Minsan lang kami nakakasama ngayon kasi kailangan may naiiwan sa bahay. Well di nga lang kami kompleto per ok na din. SAYA!!

Sooobra!! Kagabi weird yung napaginipan. It’s scary na nakakatawa. Kasi there’s a guy, na I think from our community. Tapos bumili siya ng paputok na parang bullet yung itsura. Katabi ko siya. Then parang sinindihan niya yung paputok kaso parang nag stick sa kamay niya di niya maalis. So lahat ng nasa paligid niya, including me tumakbo kasi sasabog. Ayun. BOOOOOM!!! Sumabog siya. Pero siyempre inexpect naming sasabog yung katawan niya. Eto yung funny part. parang sa cartoon. Sumabog siya pataas. Para bang lumipad pataas tapos naisip namin na napunta yung katawan niya sa ibang lugar. Basta funny talaga.

One Good Afternoon

Hay… a while a go I felt my stomach saying “GUTOM NA AKO”. I don’t like to go out or use my money so I made my own afternoon snack or merienda for short. If you want I can give you the ingredients and steps on how to make my “Spicy Scrambled Egg” and “Cold Coffee”. Hahha…

WARNING: it’s very spicy so don’t try kung ayaw mo ng maanghang

Egg- of course. It depends on you on how many eggs you want to eat. Sa akin 1 lang.
Salt- para salty
Siling labuyo- HAHAHA!! para spicy. I love spice and everything nice!!
Onion- kahit isa lang siguro
Oil- haller? Of course para maluto

Steps on how to make my “Spicy Scrambled Egg”:

Separate the whites from the yolk.
Briskly whisk the eggs until they produce medium stiff peaks. Basta pag nag-iba na ang itsura. Or better yet pag nahalo mo na siya ng 100 times.
Then yung sili chopped. You can put as many as you can
Pati na din yung onion. Then set aside.
Tapos isama mo na yung yolk sa white.
Transfer the egg mixture sa pan. Tapos put the spicy sili and onions sa taas ng egg mixture. Obvious naman kung maluluto na eh.
Viola!! Handa na ang “Spicy Scrambled Egg”

Naanghangan ka na noh? I think it’s better na ito muna ang gawin mo yung drinks.


To make the “Cold Coffee” you need:

Ice- kaya nga cold eh…
Coffee- kahit anong klaseng coffee
Sugar
Creamer- yung coffee mate.
Water

Step on how to make my “Cold Coffe”

Get a glass or any container na may takip. tapos para ka lang nagtitimpla ng kape.
Lagyan ng water.
Lagyan ng ice.
Tapos shake. Kung mayaman ka blender mo.
Ayan may panulak ka na. wag mo tong gagawin kung wala kang creamer kasi ang sama ng lasa pag coffee lang tapos cold water.

So ayan gumawa ako ng sarili kong recipe. Then pumuntanvg garden and enjoyed it while listening to my fave songs sa mp3. hay…. Sarap ; p

It’s so so hot in here!! Parang I’m in hell already. Ano ba ito, practice? hahaha!!

Very interesting line, should I use this line to somebody else? That came from Imago’s “Sundo” and it is one of my favorite songs to date.

Well back about that line, parang I wanted to use it. haha. Why? This guy is courting me, but I really don’t know what to do or to say. I’m tuliro.

Monra Day

So since vacation na nga I will try to post about what’s happening to me even though I think no one really cares. But medyo late na kasi sometimes I don’t have internet load. Our area doesn’t still have dsl. I mean hindi pa nila sakop yun area namin. Pldt kasi kami.
So today tv marathon. At first I watched a little bit of Myx Hitcharts. Number 1 na naman ang Calla lily with the song “Magbalik” while Sponge cola is still at the number 2 spot. Tapos I watched Detective Conan. Astig yun eh. Even my mother, maid, kuya and pinsans are so addicted to this show. Mala CSI but with an animé feel. I also watched Ambush Makeover, yung celebrity poker Tapos basta ang rami pa.
Tapos itong si “Monra” Bautista grabeh sa exposure. lagi siyang lumalabas sa MTV for his “Ramon Bautista Show”. Halos every commercial lumalabas yun. so hanep talaga sa exposure… plus add mo pa yung mga music videos na nandun siya. Halos lahat ng biggest and not so big bands nasa video siya… Astig … tapos kanina din napanood ko yung “Misfits” sa Solar Sports…ang kulit niya grabeh… isa siyang type of guy na kahit sobrang funny niya hindi siya natatawa… basta parang ganun… akala mo tatangatanga… pero matalino naman. At the end nga, he said sa isang host na si Wawi, bakit siya merong basta adidas ata or something tapos sabi ni Wawi, “I earned it, you should beg for it” so ayun nag beg nga siya. Ang sabi niya to Adidas, Oakley basta halos lahat ng brands ng shoes tapos sa huli sinali niya yung Mekeni Hotdog. Haha!! I have a new favorite celebrity and his name is Ramon Bautista.
I also watched Meet the Fockers. I like to catch up again sa mga movies. I want to watch Music and Lyrics.
Gumagawa din ako ng mga ka-art-ehan… meaning aome art stuffs. I like to paint my room, design, make jewelries basta lahat ng ka-art-ehan… it’s fun to kill the time.
Kanina din, my baby bro ay dinala sa hospital, wala lang check up lang kasi may ubo sipon. Tapos chineck yung blood baka may dengue and may skin test baka may t.b. grabeh. Pero wala naman siguro. Wala pang results eh.

Swooning over something…

Waah… I’m very much addicted sa mga bands. I can do stupid things just for the sake of seeing them or hearing them.
Like buying their albums. Ang baon ko lang everyday is 120 bucks. I’m commuting pa, so sa fare ko 24 bucks na balikan, then syempre lunch pa. ang lowest na lunch ay 50 bucks, so magkano na lang natitira sa akin. Ang payat ko na nga. Niloloko ako ng parents ko na adik. Hehe. I’m not eating kasi. Or I eat kaso very minimal. Tipid talaga ako.
Nakakaasar nga when I buy an album nakalagay dun yung orig price. Mga 250 plus lang talaga. But because of that e-vat 280 na ang normal price. Actually 299 na nga ata eh. When I buy albums I consider these things:
1) this album is from my favorite band
2) minsan research muna ako kung worth it
3) tinitignan ko kong how many tracks
4) o kaya listen to it dun sa may listening area
or minsan I forget these things and never mind the price, then tanggalin ang price tag para makalimutan yung presyo. Sometimes dumadating sa point na nanghihinayang ako sa mga pinagbibili ko like I can buy pirated naman but when I’m listening to it nawawala lahat ng aking agam agam. So I understand the pressure that the artist experiencing. They must give 101% of their effort and everything dahil mahirap talaga ang buhay ngayon. Kaya sa mga bands na astig at orig ang tunog, MABUHAY kayo!!! Naks…

Nakisabay ang kalikasan sa Rockalikasan

Actually last year pa ito. Since wala pa akong blog nun, ngayon ko na lang i-kwento. So ayun, nagkaroon ng concert sa aming school at ito ay tinawag na Rockalikasan. Kaso dahil sa kalikasan, na postponed ito dahil ito yung mga days na sobra ang ulan. Ang original line up ay: Imago, Sandwich, Itchyworms, 6 cycle mind, Salamin, at Join the Club. 120 bucks ang price. So ayun sinungab ko ang chance na mapanood ito since yung mga high school friends ko ay pupunta din daw. Reunion ito. Ayun punta nga sila. Pero this time nag iba ang line up. Nawala ang sandwich, pumalit ang Calla lily at Urban Dub. Ang unang nag perform ay galing sa aming skul na Ped Xing. Kanta ng mga covers like “Tattooed on my mind” tapos iba pa. kanta din sila ng orig nila. So ayun. I think naunang mag perform ang Join the Club. Kanta ng songs nila “Lunes”, “Nobela” at iba. Di ko alam yung iba kasi hindi nila ako fan. Sumunod ang 6cyclemind. Kanta ng “Sandalan”, “I”, “Trip” at “Mahiwagang Pag-Ibig” (?) Dahil nga sa hindi sanay makakita ng lalaki ang mga tao dun, lakas ng hiyawan nila. Then Imago. Actually si Aia dito nag high school sa amin so habang nag pre-prepare sa next song nag kwe-kwento siya like yung mga girls dito kakaiba. Parang tayo ang nag stand out chu chu… dahil sa napagod ata sa kakasigaw sa 6cyclemind, medyo hindi naka sigaw yung tao sa kanya kaya sabi ni Aia, parang mas malakas ang sigaw ninyo sa kay Ney ha. Hehehe. Tapos parang some students pina baba siya pero sabi niya di pwede di ninyo ako makikita. Hahaha. Kanta siya ng “Akap”, “Anino”, “Tara Let’s” at “Sundo”. Sa “Tara Let’s” nag head stand pa siya. Tapos sunod Salamin. Ito yung band nung anak ni Gary V. plus yung sa pepsi commercial yung guy na nag “Wo wo wo wooooh” ginagaya si Bamboo. So di ko alam yung ibang songs na kinanta niya. Tapos “Salamin”. No comment. Then itchyworms. Nakakatuwa nga sila eh. Namigay pa sila ng posters tapos ang nakakuha yung katabi kong friend. Haha. Tapos nag konting “Sugod” sila. Humingi pa nga sila ng permit to sing “Beer” kasi nga Catholic school kami. Ayun kanta ng “akin ka na lang”, “Salapi”. Ayos din sila. Funny guys. Last but not the least Urban dub. Actually kung nauna sila umuwi na kami kasi medyo late na din at naambon. Pero dahil first time ko silang makikita pinag patuloy na namin ang panonood. Kanta ng “Alert the Armory” at “First of Summer”. Ang k.j. ng mga madre pinatitigil na kasi nga medyo nauulan at anong oras na din yun. Kasi sa ticket mga hanggang 9:00 lang dapat. Pero anong oras na din yun. Buti nakanta pa nila yung “First of Summer”. Pero sa last part di na nila na kanta yung last part. Kasi pinatay na yung mic. Tapos nagpapaalamat sila kasi tinapos namin at nanood pa rin kami kahit umuulan na nga. Naririnig ko nga din yung iba eh, sabi nila sana Urban dub na para makauwi na kami. Ang daming naghihintay sa kanila kaso bad trip yung madre 2 lang ang nakanta nila. Pero ok lang. Ang astig niya or I mean nila. Infairness maganda si Lalay Lim.
So ayun. Rock and Roll hanggang umaga!!

Flying high

These guys embody the “they are more than just a pretty face”.

Speaking of mojofly, wala na si Ricci Gurango, the last original member of the group. Now they are compose of very beautiful and handsome people like Lougee Basabas still on vocals and Ali Alejandro on drums plus Allan Elgar on guitars. I’m really looking forward sa “another new” mojofly sound because of the demise of Ricci which I think their leader. But these guys are not your ordinary band member because they are not rookies. Lougee was a member of Ryan Cayabyab's pop teen-group, Kaya, which released an album under BMG Records Pilipinas, as well as her very own band Superlooj. Ali my fafa Alejandro in the other hand is the son of “kilabot ng kolehiyala” Hadjie Alejandro. Allan Elgar struggled with various bands throughout most of high school and college till Loudwater, an underground band that played regularly at the notorious Club Dredd. In 1996, he joined the Jett Pangan Group with his younger brother Michael (present-day guitarist of Rivermaya).
I think they are one of the bands that should be in line with today’s hottest bands like Sponge Cola, Imago to name a few. Maybe they are not that popular but I think they will get there. But if not, people don’t know what is really “good pinoy music”.
Mojofly also appeared on various commercials. Like the Del Monte Pizza Sauce commercial were I saw Ali and fall in love with his good looks. And I can’t forget the “dito na lang ako sa inyo tita” with matching nabubulunan effect. Lougee became more popular when she appeared at the commercial for Creamsilk commercial. That’s what you called “girl power”.
I really admire these guys. If I’m a guy I think I will fall in love to lougee. Haha. Nonetheless, I really love these guys and I will support them because they are really good and great rockers.

Review: Ricci Gurango (bass) was still her when this album came out. Kasama din ditto sina Lougee Basabas on vocals and Ali Alejandro on drums. These 3 piece band stand up again after Kitchie Nadal left the band. This is an album full of love songs, but in different tunes or sounds. Lougee also puts humor in every song.

1) Bato- I like the dooo…dooo… doo… part. it’s a song about sa pagiging “manhid” or just shy because he doesn’t want to show his real feelings. It is quite a funny song because of the lines “Mamundok ka na lamang kaya sa akin ay wag ka ng magpakita bato”
2) Sa Uulitin- I like the drum sound (I’m not being bias ha). Feel na feel ko yung sound, yung guitars, bass lahat… it’s a song about things you want to repeat again. A very good song for sa mga mag boyfriend/girlfriend “Naubusan na ng mga salita nag-uusap na lang ang mga salita nakakamangha”
3) Close to the end- the first two songs are quite up beat. Ngayon they slow things up. I think parang mamatay na siya… hehe or maybe close to the end na yung relationship nila. Longest song sa album
4) Mata- hay… I really like this song… very much… I like yung first line kasi ang astig “kamusta na…” basta astig talaga
5) Even if…- shortest song naman. Nakakaloka yung line na “I’m not looking for a one night stand” I think it’s a song about even if I’m not looking for a one night stand I can love you and my intentions is clean
6) Thank you- my least favorite song. Why? For me parang pang dagdag sa album pero I think its about Lougee “my litter sister Katie she so pretty she said she wants to be like me someday”
7) Tumatakbo- whoaah!! Another favorite of mine. And I think one of the soundtrack of my life. Lougee put another humor with this line “lagging bigo laging sawi sa pag-ibig minamalas o kay sakit may balat nga ba ako sa pwet”
8) Turn- I think it’s a song about moving on or leaving someone.
9) Wake up- I really like the lyrics (bias ba? Hehe) kasi it’s like so me… pero pag naka earphones ang sakit sa ears kasi ang pangit ng parang may umuugong.. I thought ng una sira lang yung player ko…
10) I don’t want you- medyo upbeat ulit. Yun lang… pero ok din
11) Mata 2- remake of my favorite song… if the fist one is good eto best na…

Packaging: good effort sa packaging siyempre si fafa Ali ata gumawa niyan. I like yung sa dulo may may drawing for every titles. Like yung “bato”, ali draws a rock. Then yung “mata” they draw one eye. Pero dun sa “Mata 2” they draw 2 eyes… haha si Lougee ay di nag patalo kay Ali, she made the comic strip about the story behind how the 3 meet.
Overall: Astig!!! Very funny yung mga songs. hindi ko mapipigilan na di mapatawa. That I think hindi ko nagagawa when I’m listening to other albums. 4 and a half rock stars out of 5.

I’m currently a member of more than 14 yahoo groups. Why I joined these yahoo groups, to be updated to that artist and to ask na din some questions. Those yahoo groups members are compose of the band member, manager, and their fans. In the case of Circus-the yahoo groups of eraserheads, this is the longest living yahoo group in the Philippines I think, I’ve got to ask questions and ang sumasagot ay mga die hard e head fans at pati yung mga ex managers. I really love Sponge Cola back when they were just an indie artist. Yung tipong mahirap sila mahagilap, marinig at Makita. So if you get a chance talagang ang saya ko na. pero ngayon na sikat na sikat na sila, nababawasan na ang pagkagusto ko sa kanila. Na notice ko ito nung nakita ko yung Myx Mag. Usually pag may nakikita akong kahit ano tungkol sa kanila. For example mga magazines, song hiits… bibili ako kaagad. Pero ngayon parang wala lang. ok merong magazine na nandoon sila sige bye… ayun. Tsaka kasi parang di na sila mahirap Makita. Walang ka challenge challenge… Pero kailan lang nung mag guest sila sa hit 99.5… woah!! Nakausap ko sila… hay naku… ewan tuliro lang ako…

Haha… I made my own word. I already have Isang Ugat Isang Dugo by Rivermaya but the other two, We stand Alone Together by Bamboo and Home by 6cyclemind are still not in my collection.
These albums have a common denominator, puro revivals. It’s just disappointing because these bands are really good in making original songs. In the case of Rivermaya, they said that they just want to give way to the songs that they’ve listened. And pay tribute to the great pinoy bands, they only have one original and it’s Isang Bandila. In the other hand, 6cyclemind covers songs that they love and parang mag slow naman ng konti like what they did to “Prinsesa” na may pagka bosa nova. But they wanted to tell us that they already prepared another all original album that will soon be release. So about Bamboo? Siguro ganun din….

Isaang Ugat, Isang Dugo,
I hope they will release agad another all original songs because that’s were they are good at. Narinig mo nab a yung “Inosenta Lang Ang Nagtataka?” Sumabog talaga dun si Rico. Parang if you’re not familiar to this band then you heard “You’ll be Safe Here” or “Balisong” hindi mo aakalain na sila yun. I hope they choose a song na medyo slow pero ok naman yung album siyempre Rivermaya pa rin yan.


We Stand Alone Together
I’m not a big fan of Bamboo. So I don’t know much about this album. All I know it’s full of covers. Pero astig yung version nila ng “Tatsulok” kasi parang sila pa rin. I mean, parang they could write that kind of song.

Home
Medyo puro slow songs yung cover nila, or ginawa nilang slow like “Prinsesa”. Ang alam ko “Could You be My Number 2” , “Home”, “Upside down” yan yung mga slow songs na kinover nila. Gusto kong marinig yang mga version nay an.

Like what I’ve said earlier these bands are great making original songs kaya sana they would noit stick sa pag re-revive. Pero it’s a good thing din like me, I don’t know some songs na ni revive nila, so napapakilala nila in today’s generation. Ok na din

Before anything else The Mongols is compose of Ely Buendia on vocals and guitars, Jerome Velasco on bass, Yan Yuzon on guitars and Bogs Jugo on drums. It’s the band after Ely broke up with eraserheads. Their sound is more rock na slow and dark unlike the new pupil. They also have deep songs. I mean hindi simple yung tipong madaling maintindihan. Pero for me ok naman. I like this album. Like how I liked Pupil’s “Beautiful Machines”.

1) Keeper- at first my noise. Medyo matagal yung noise. Ely’s style on this song is parang tumutula lang siya.
2) Bulakbol- parang if you listen to the title Bulakbol very simple yung meaning. It means you love to go to other places. But in this song medyo deep yung meaning. Yes, lumalabas ditto yung meaning ng bulakbol pero may things na di ko maintindihan like “Ako’y tumatalon(ako’y sinasabon) At siya’y tumutula/bumubula, Lumilindol Naghahabol, Hanggang kailan ka Bang bulakbol?”.
3) Bakit Nga Ba?- medyo parang tunog eraserheads lang pero mas rock. Ngayon medyo simple at madaling maintindahan. Just asking some questions.
4) Pony- Yan is the vocals here. Medyo slow rock to. I like this song. It’s funny. I don’t know if they endorsing pony at that time. Pero I know now they endorsing it.
5) Teka Muna- Another tagalog song. It’s about telling you to wait.
6) Candyflip- matagal yung intro. Medyo maingay. Ditto lumabas yung parang mid point ng sound nila. Maingay na rock na deep.
7) Heroine- Si Yan ulit ang vocals. Nakakashock lang kasi may line doon na “I gonna fuck you till tomorrow”. Dahil I first know their music as pupil. At the end parang may dialogue. I think its Dianne Ventura. Pinaka short na song.
8) Wigout- kinda slow again. I like this song.
9) It’s over- Yan yuzon is on vocals again. Parang mas maganda yung songs niya ditto than sa pupil album.
10) Irish Spring- dib a it’s a brand of a soap? I also love this song
11) Odd Even- Another Tagalog na medyo slow na song. So parang eheads na naman. Pero hindi
12) Your Bushido- Medyo slow ulit. Longest song sa album. It’s about a girl that she’s really crazy about.
Overall: Astig naman ito. Ayun nga lang parang may hang over pa si Ely sa Eraserheads. Yung ibang tagalog songs parang eheads lang. pero parang iba pa rin. Kasi rock na rock nga yung feel ng album nila. So I’ll give 4 rock stars!!

The Break-up

It’s kinda clear to me what the reason behind the Eraserheads break-up is. I don’t need to elaborate more about this just read this. Para malaman ang totoo according to Ely and Dianne Ventura.

ELY’ S SIDE OF THINGS: Eheads was an experiment gone bad. It had escaped from the lab and wreaked havoc upon its creators and the unsuspecting townspeople. With this interview, Diane and i hope to capture that monster and put it in a cage where it belongs, so that anyone with a curiosity can study it, dissect it or just fed it with peanuts if they wanted. Me, I’ve already made my mind up about the band. It was good while it lasted, but now all I can remember vividly is the ugly business that led to the breakup. I just wish those people hadn’t involved Diane and our family. It was really uncalled for. All of you people be warned: if you ever say something bad about Diane again there will be bloodletting. We don’t want to blow it out of proportion, but sometimes you have to fight fire with fire. Still, I don’t want to be the one to talk about it because you would have to put me in a straitjacket and censor every word that would come out of my mouth. Diane is a better candidate for telling the story because aside from being there when it happened, she still has the mind to be objective and the bottom line is I trust her. Her opinion is what I value most. This may spark more mudslinging and controversy or it may finally put everything to rest. Either way were glad its finally on print -Ely Buendia, by email


DIANE:K First let me recount the events of that fateful day when Ely finally decided to quit. It was a Sunday, and we were on our way to my family’s house in B.F. Paranaque when all of a sudden we got a call from roadie Sammy saying that we were already late for a gig. Now the S.O.P. was gigs are supposed to be confirmed at least a day before thru text or handouts. Since neither of this happened, for the record, we were absolutely oblivious of the mall show that day! I mean kaya nga andyan ang roadie to make sure that the artist is well informed of all the details of the show. That was his job. What we resented the most was that kami yung pinamukha niyang unprofessional. Sammy claims that he told us about the gig the other night during a bar show. If he did clearly tell us about the mall show one of us would definitely have remembered. Bottom line is even if he did verbally mention the gig to us still do not follow S.O.P. He could texted us like he always did before. Syempre nasanay na kami sa ganoong systema kahit sa former managers. So who’s s unprofessional now? The mall show pushed through, we had to miss our family gathering. But everybody was already giving Ely the cold shoulder, as if sinadya niyang ma-late. Never mind that kami ang na-hassle because of Sammys #!@up. In their eyes, Ely is being a rockstar. The next day Ely decided to take up what he thought was unprofessionalism on the management’s part with the management himself, Butch Dans. It turned out that the verdict was already out. Butch didnt even investigate further, he just took his employees word for it. His exact words to Ely were, its his words against yours’; Apparently Sammy lost no time defending himself. Siniraan niya agad si Ely and would you believe pati ako dinamay! Insinuating that we were probably too high on drugs that night at that bar to remember anything. Diyos ko naman may pamilya na kami and nag-aaral pa ako that time. We were raising a kid! Do you think pagaaksayahan namin ng panahon ang drugs? I had cancer, bawal nga sakin kahit yosi o alcohol magda-drugs pa ba ako? Syempre gusto ko pa makita lumaki anak ko no! Pero according to Butch, the accusation that we were on shabu came from Mica (then girlfriend, I mean ONE of the girlfriends, of Marcus). First of all I havent even tried the stuff! One more thing, she also claimed na she told me about the mall show kaya imposible daw na hindi namin alam unang-una wala syang sinabi. Di ko naman siya kinakausap. Ayoko na sanang mag namedrop especially now that tapos na ang lahat pero #!& ina, grabe yung ginawa nya di man lang niya naisip na we have a name, privacy and family to protect. Parang sya yung may sayad. To this day ipaglalaban ko ang innocence ko kahit ipa-drug test nyo pa ko just so you know whos really telling the truth. God! That girl is such a hypocrite, sana tignan-tignan niya nga yung kasama nya para malaman kung sino talaga ang junkie! Ely is even more pissed off at her kasi super imbento at pakialamera at pati ako dinamay. I really dont like trashtalking other people. But this time below the belt na kasi what she did. Im just defending myself and my family. Sa totoo lang we could sue them for slander sa ginawa nilang yan. Why Thirdline (management firm who handles Eraserheads during that time) would even listen to just anybody is beyond us. Anyway back to the story what struck us th most was the other three (Marcus, Raimund, Buddy) supposedly Ely’s friends corroborated Sammy’s incredulous and ludicrous story without even talking to Ely first. Ok let me put in this way. Kunwari for the sake of argument kung mali man si Ely, hindi ba usually kahit mali yung kaibigan the least true friend can do is to give his/her friend the benifit of the doubt? Pero in this case totally walang nangyaring ganun. Ang masakit pa lalo e na wala naman talagang kasalanan si Ely pero they still sided with the management. Nasaan yung camaraderie? Ten years down the drain. Where was the friendship? Then is dawned to us that wala na talaga. Ely was so disgusted by it that he decided to give the other three the dose of their own medicine. After all nabastos kami by their betrayal, Ely quit the band just thru text. There was no sense in staying and continuing a band where members stab each other in the back. It was never like a competition for Ely bec. he wanted it to work out. His priority was the whole band not himself. You dont form a band and then go creating rivalries. Ely"s not like that. After all he chose Raimund to be with the band and lingid sa kaalaman ng marami Raimund actually almost got kicked out of the group before they even signed up with BMG records dahil nga he was displaying a selfish attitude. Strangely everybody did sense early on that Raimund treating Ely more like a rival than a bandmate. Even when performing Raimund always seemed to be either trying to show off or upstage Ely, to detriment of the performance. Ely got turned off by that who wouldnt? Well di ko talaga nakita or kilala ang Eheads until nakilala ko si Ely, noon ko na lang sila napanood talaga at narinig. Kahit di ako fan ng bands at wala ako masyado background sa scene, napuna ko pa rin na parang wala talaga silang chemistry on stage unlike the Mongols parang sa tingin ko mas nag ja-jive talaga personality and musisc-wise. Tsaka super humble ng members, there really just genuinely happy to be in the band, anyways going back to topic, dahil may pinagsamahan na sila ni Raimund, Ely chose to work it out and still kept him in the band. Bakit pa nagbanda si Ely eh di sana nagsolo na lang siya. He never considered anybody in the band rival. Ely’s a team player. Ang issue lang naman ni Ely kay Raimund was the manner in which he achieved his personal agendas. Hindi naman na-badtrip si Ely sa pagbuo ni Raimund ng bagong banda. He was actually happy for his bandmates newfound success. Kaso never kasi naging open si Raimund about it, not that Ely or the band wanted Raimund to ask permission. He could do anything he wanted. Sana lang nagsabi or nagkwento man lang, hindi yung biglang tahimik tapos magugulat na lang kami ng magsusumbong yung staff (ng eheads office) na Raimund, with Karen(ex manager ng Eheads) would use the Eheads office to book his bands gigs. Nakarating nga sa amin through concerned employee na may times na sinusulot nila what were supposed to be gigs for Eheads. Bad trip naman yun. Tapos may mga shows pa Eheads na bigla na lang ika-cut ni Raimund short para makahabol sa Sandwich gigs. Wala lang finesse. Again we dont have a problem with Raimund putting up another band sana lang he was more open and considerate, less sleazy. That s it lang. Other than that ok naman masaya pa nga kami for him.

V Pulp: What do you hope will happen after this comes out?

Diane: the truth is we came out to end this at hindi para mag-umpisa ng away. The whole point of this interview was for us to defend ourselves from all the vicious attacks we"ve received following the Eheads breakup and finally shed light on what really happened. Its not a crime to fight back especially when your re#"&@tion is at stake. Kung kami papipiliin we should still not choose to do this pero they left us with no choice. This is a last ditch attempt to end this controversy and feud. We are ready to make peace anytime basta huwag lang talagang mamersonal. Sana talaga matapos na ito nakakasawa na.

To Thirdline(management firm who handles eraserheads prev) just please stop attacking our personal lives. Its unfair. To ex-bandmates: we wish youd stop being resentful and bitter towards Ely. He has nothing against you. Wag niyo kalimutan yung pinagsamahan niyo, wag na din sana manumbat, after all its common knowledge that it could been another John, Mike, Edward or any other man in your places then, and it would have still been the Eraserheads. You are all talented and Ely believed in all of you, that’s why he wanted to share everything with you. Hindi nyo kami kailangan tapakan to prove your worth. There are better ways to achieve our goals in life especially with talent like yours.

To the die hard Eheads fans: its not the end of the world, they’re all still alive and you still have CDs to listen to. Matanda na yung apat pagbigyan niyo na silang gawin ang gusto nilang gawin. If you really love them support their new endeavors. They would appreciate that. You dont need to take any sides. This about great music. Dont be too attached to the image (it’s just an illusion) they’re just people like you and everybody else trying to earn a living. Just enjoy the music, whoever it may come from, Sandwich man or Cambio, the Mongols(Pupil) or kahit sino magaling sila lahat, support filipino music, And sa mga tao na sumusuporta pa rin sa lahat at walang kinikilingan, mabuhay kayo! Thank God na madami paring mga tao na may breeding at matatalino who understand that good music trancends everything including musicians themeselves. Hay… I’m quite depress ata… or just sad… well, I dropped my accounting subject… why? If I continue this subject I might get F… hay… I’m not used to have low grades… hindi ko pa pinapaalam sa parents ko… at ayaw ko ng paalam noh… I’m thinking to shift to other course because at the first place I really don’t like this course and I think its really not for me… di ko alam na business pala tong pinapasok ko… I really like com sci or any computer course but walang business please…

Another sad thing is my grandfather is in a great danger… he has a 50-50 situation… nakaka sad talaga…

I’m in my 1st year in college and I think I’m entering in to the real world. Going through real problems, real people, real life situations, eto yung real world… nung high school ako, sure, merong mga problems na dumadating but hindi ganito… or kunng ganito nga I think I’m still too young to understand it…

I’m a type of person na when sad or have problems mas gusto kong i-keep sa sarili ko… kaya ata 60% male yung brain ko ayon dun sa sinagutan kong problem… ayaw kong sabihin…

Why I'm Craving For A Reunion

I just got myself a copy of the book “Tikaman Ang Langit” an anthology about Eraserheads. I can relate to some stories. Like some authors weren’t instant e-head fan. I mean, yes, they know eraserheads, they know their songs but they became a fan after a number of hits. In my case I became a fan when they disbanded. I’m too just too young back then.

When the Eraserheads release their debut album, ultraelectromagneticpop and gave string of hits, I think it’s in the year 1993, so I’m just 3 years old. After 9 years, in the year 2002 they broke up. And still I’m not yet a fan. I needed 3 more years to love them whole heartedly. That’s why I’m craving for a reunion. I never saw them perform live as a group. Yes, I saw Ely with his band pupil Performs “Pare ko”, Raimund and Sandwich with “Fruitcake”, “Alapaap” and Marcus sang his own version “Huwag mo nang itanong”. But nothing beats when Ely, Buddy, Marcus and Raimund perform together as one, and they are called ERASERHEADS.

Last Wednesday, I went to the book launch of “Tikman Ang Langit”. I saw Buddy, Marcus and Raimund. But where’s Ely? Ely is always “pasaway”. He is always the lacking member of eraeserheads in some events like in the launch of ultraelectromagneticjam and just recently in the book launch. I heard somebody saying “Si Ely na lang ang kulang dito reunion na sana”.

Magka reunion man o wala, I will respect their decisions. Pero kawawa naman ako, siguro for now, I’ll be contented in listening their songs, watching their classic videos, and dreaming about the reunion.

Tang Ina Andaming Nagugutom Fashionista Ka pA rIN

I don’t make it up; it’s a title from the indie artist Radio Active Sago Project’s 3rd album. I saw that article from the lifestyle section of a newspaper. Radio Active Sago Project is known for their originality, experimental, bold, ballsy and blessed with a sick, twisted sense of Pinoy Humor that’s not common in a ordinary band. Well, for me I don’t like their style because Lourd De Veyra is not singing para bang tumutula. Pero I’m not against sa kanila. It’s just I’m not the type of person that will buy their albums. Pero I like the fact that they are the band that can talk about life and political and other issues that seldom band can offer.

Then this girl caught my attention. She is the pawnshop heiress, Tara Tambunting. She is also 17 year old like me. It is basically about her, the things that she can buy and her shopping habits etc. She has a collection of bags. But of course it’s not just ordinary bag. She has branded bags and not the hearstrings, cosé, type of bags like what I have. sa kanya, Louis Vuitton,(hehe I have a hard time to spell that because I don’t own from that brand), Dior, Ferragamo and other branded and expensive things. I don’t know why I’m connecting these two articles. What do you think?

Then I saw this on T.V. about the issue of spending more than 200 Million in lamp post in Cebu (I think) because of the ASEAN Summit. Of course pakitang tao tayo sa mga ASEAN leaders. But I don’t know if they appreciate that damn lamp post. Because of that, napaisip ko na mayaman naman talaga tayo. We just don’t know how to use it properly and add the corrupt people living here in the Philippines. Yeah, of course lamp post is needed lalo na pag gabi. But we don’t need that expensive lamp post. What if mga 1 million lang ang gamitin dun then the rest of the money i-save for the fund for the people. Siguro hindi talaga 200 million ang nagastos. If that’s the case mas mabuti pang 200 million nga yung gastos nila kesa napunta lang sa mga kurakot.

Another is about the expensive city halls. Fuck!!! Ang laki ng nagastos nila. Umaabot ng mga 100-200 million. Para lang sa city hall. Sana they think of the poor people first bago ang luho nila.

Now I’m beginning to learn what’s the really problem… and I think Radio Active Sago Project has a great album title. And for Tara Tambunting, I hope she can get that album.

What I’m loving now….

These are songs that I’m listening and can play it for thousand times.

1) All out of love- it’s an old song from air supply. Time look back with some old but great songs.
2) Sway- it is by Bic Runga. It really relaxes me. I thought M.Y.M.P’s version is better when I first heard it pero nagkamali ako. Original is still the best.
3) One look- I first heard it on Campus radio. It’s one of the favorites of ex- dj Sophie. Ganda sobra. Very different from kjwan’s other songs like daliri and pintura. Pang relax din.
4) Masaya- old song from bamboo. Medyo these days I like slow/old songs.
5) Sundo- it’s from Imago. Buti naman they are back in releasing good and senti songs. I think imago should release more songs like “sundo” and “akap” and stop muna sa mga “Tara Let’s”, “Anino” and other upbeat songs.
6) Cruzin’- weeh… matagal ko ng gusto to. Even before pa na di pa masyadong nakikinig sa music.

Shows I love watching

1) Survivor Exile Islands- luma na din. Kaso di ko kasi napanood eh. Buti I got the chance to see this survivor edition.
2) Amazing Race All Stars- I’m not a fan of this show, pero I watched the edition were rob and amber were the contestants. They are from survivor kasi. Now they are back and all stars kasi kaya I need to watch it.
3) Pinoy Big Brother- wehehe… I love watching reality shows eh…
4) MTV’s Room Raiders- tama ba? Basta yung susugurin yung room mo.
5) The Simpsons- it’s a very funny show.

Things that I’ve done or accomplish last week

1) I went to the “Tikman Ang Langit” book launch. I’m so happy to see familiar faces.
2) 3rd place in the dance- weeeh!! Our section won 3rd place even many things happened.
3) Party!!- nakipag sayawan!! I’m really in my college life
4) Eating vegetables during Friday- I did it…
5) Submitting papers- I did it? hehe sort of…
